A few weeks ago it was the GKR Karate World Championship – and this year it was held in the UK at Milton Keynes. Competitors from the UK and Australia and New Zealand and America and Japan took part – and so did I and some friends 🙂
On the Friday we were in the team kata events and won a silver medal! And on the Saturday I won my division for Kata and am now the 6th-8th Kyu veteran female Kata world champion – still can hardly believe it! 🙂 I practice karate under my married name of Ruth Wainwright (dog walking, sign language learning, karate woman) and then there’s me as Ruth Symes (www.ruthsymes.com) and of course me as Megan 🙂
